Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. James 1:17 New Living Translation (NLT)
My son is a constant source of joy and a reason to praise!
Yeah, he’s two (almost and a half) and he’s supposed to be terrible… but he’s NOT. (Thank you God for this great boy! Praise God.)
He eats well, sleeps well, listens well, and is temperamentally-wise mello but very fun. (Thank you, God, for giving him the personality he has.)
We get to spend 4 days a week together 24/7. The other 3 days are “Work/School” days; where he goes to work and I go to school. Just kidding. I work, he schools. I leave him in the morning and Dad picks him up. This minimizes his time at school. (Thanks you for this opportunity, God!)
With me he learns everyday. At school, he learns in a super awesome
environment (with other kids!). (God, thank you for letting me teach him and thank you that he is able go to school to have both experiences.)
Kurt and I often look at each other and say, “How do we know how to do this [be parents]?” (God, thank you for giving us a strong marriage foundation, awesome parents as examples, and for blessing us to be parents!)
This last weekend at church, the message was about JOY. To sum it up, “EMMANUEL: God is with us” is the reason for all joy.
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1:23 New International Version (NIV)
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. 1 Peter 1:8
